When my wife and I had the holiday party last weekend, we shared the camera. I borrowed it for a while to shoot the church across the street.  I thought I'd share a few of her pictures.  We got a lot of shots between the two of us, and I thought I'd share some of my favorite ones that she shot.

I want to do a series of people drinking out of straws...I have a theory that it is impossible to look 'tough' drinking out of a straw.  In any case, here is me: ty_straw

Let the party begin!. Can't enter it in the stills. It's a couple years old.

What more can I say? Now there is nothing left but the cleanup!!

So we have already attended the first Halloween party of the season.  They had a blast!  The 6 yr old (who is obsessed with firefighting) was a......come on...guess....a firefighter!  Sean loved it.  He had on his t shirt the firefighters from Lexington, KY gave him on underneath the coat and wore blue pants like they do.  Unfortunately, the shirt isn't going to last much longer, he's going to outgrow it! (if anyone knows where I can score another, PLEASE let me know)  The 2 1/2 yr old went as.... Super Connor!  No, you read it right.  He refused to be identified as Superman.  His name is Connor and you can just call him Super Connor now.  They ate cookies until they could practically climb walls due to the sugar buzz and then sat on all the balloons until they popped.  A great time was had by all.

I recently bought a house in Hoquiam, WA. It's a cute little house, but needs some work to make it my home. So, I've been spending two days out of the week down working on it. This was the first weekend that I stayed both days. I spent most of the time tearing down plywood walls in the upstairs. I found some interesting things hidden in the walls.

Okay, be gentle!  This is my first theme posting....

So we went out to a pumpking patch to see what we could find.  In a box were a bunch of little things to choose from.  We decided to wait until later.  We wandered over to the milking exhibition and  do you see what I see?  It was a space for an "udder cam"! (snicker)  

On down the way was a hayride.  We hopped on and away we went.  We were surprised by some things from out  on the edge of the universe, and luckily they were friendly.  All through the cornfields were different scarecrows, but is it legal to violoate copywrite laws this way???  We trundled through a haunted barn.  There seemed to be a party going on as they were  celebrating halloween a little early.  Whew, they party hard!  The bartender was  intimidating, so we moved on.  The hayride  was at the end when we reached the famous graveyard.  Fun was had by all!

I was riding my tour bus up to Thomas Jefferson's house and looked up and saw this - What the? When I got there I asked where Weezie was but no one got the joke.

I have a urge never to go to Pep Boy's again - but I don't know why... do you see what I see?

WOW I was inspired.  I got the kiddie pool, hired the strippers, ordered the honey, and was ready to go - then I saw all the hubbub about the near nakedness that got so many panties in a twist - so I toned down my interpretation and simply shot a couple close ups of the fun -stickysticky tips

Dummy, and Sunday I am taking a pass on - however I am a Dummy, since I had to confirm the official definition of Faux in the dictionary (I was right), and it's Sunday - so give me a break on this one...

Sometimes I think that my ancestors were boring people - and envy the Mexican's who know how to party - so as often as possible I am a

Faux Mexican it seems to work - Don't ask what the medal is for - it's a secret!

Not everyone loves celebrations so when that happens - you have to understand when some run and hide!

I went for a ride earlier this week - just needed some fresh air - when I got home I realized that I may have drunk too much, and then I realized that I wasn't at my home... Duh - I am a dummy!

I am very careful when I ride my motorcycle through the mountains of Virginia - but they keep you on your toes with intimidating signs like this...

Heres some more pictures from my trip to California. I went to Bolsa_Chica Bolsa_Chica2 Beach. There were a lot of  people there that day. I took this picture of my feet there. I took it for fun but ended up liking how it came out after my cousin decided his hand should be in the picture too. I also went to Hermosa_beach this summer. While I was in California I took a picture of my cousin Alex hitting the   pinata at a birthday party. And finally I have a picture of a tree in my yard here in Kansas. Tell me what you think, I'll take any criticism.

As you all know, Claude is eleven years old.  She has been very moody lately and now we have another cross to bear.  

Halloween.

First we were battling the"am I too old to go trick-or-treating". Once that was settled (she'll just have a costume party).  Now we have to decide what costume to wear.  She would like you to help her chose...

There seems to be an immediate interest and affection for my boy Otis.  Oat will be 3 years old on November 6th.  I must say I am flattered and appreciative!  Otis is a Bernese Mountain Dog...  Email me if you have questions!

Since his first photo, his personality has shown through.

He is full of expression and is the best dog I have ever had.

Within the 1st week of having Oat, I had a party for him... A Puppy Warming Party!  You wouldn't have believed how smart and well behaved he was in his very first interaction with a group of people.  The next morning he simply sat next to the front door wondering where his new friends went.

He grew quickly - doubling in size each month.

He also continued to become more expressive and at times

hillarious.

He loves his  toys

 He also loves to go for  rides in the car

I would like to share one more photo- my grandparents are 95 years old last week and have been married 75 years... they are amazing people and struggliing now... this is a photo I took with Otis and my Grandmother 2 months ago after my father died... please enjoy it as much as I do!  Again - she is 95!

I don't only take pictures of Otis - but it certainly seems to be a good icebreaker to the group.

Not in a creative mood for taking photos for this theme,sorry.. We go through phases like that so ...Ok here is my entry, not a new photo, but this was shot a my annual  Dead Jester Party every Oct. 31.

Friends from my past my present my future Hope you get a good laugh from these.

I leave for 30 minutes to go to Wal-Mart and leave my camera set up (as I did for my party.)

I thought i'd post a few sunset and sunrise photo's i have taken over the past few years. This first one is a sunrise in my home town of Newcastle in Australia.
Lonely_walk was taken at a place called 80 mile beach which is just south of Broome in Western Australia. The tide goes out about 2 miles here and comes back in that 2 miles twice every day.
Bahrian_dawn was taken in Bahrian one morning as the local Dhows were coming back from a nights fishing.
island was taken from a friends boat whilst we were sailing around the islands of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Finally Seal_Rocks was taken at dawn. Seal rocks is a popular fishing spot on the mid north NSW coast of Australia.

I took a bunch of pix for our Harry Potter party a month ago...sure wish the person I'm going to borrow the book from would hurry up and finish it...

While at my brothers wiki hut party Saturday I was suprised to see how beautiful one of our friends daughter has become, even behind those shades you can tell.foster grants.But I knew it was going to shine if she would just take them off and show her total glam... Blondie I really wasn't that suprised that she was a knock out, I know from were the nut fell from....good gens..the nut and the tree..gen pool No that to me is a hot subject..anyone for a coke , I'm buying..super sized

On June 29th many settlers and citizens that decided to block roads all over Israel to express their outrage against the Israeli government's decision to implement a drastic policy of "disengaging" from long held established communities without holding a referendum or national election. [It should be mentioned that the ruling party won the election on a campaign dyametrically opposed to such a policy]
