Thanks for all the i.d.s on those two strange birds LeeAnn and I saw. I just knew there would be a variety of names for them :o) The first day I arrived I was waiting for LeeAnn to meet up with me and was on my way to pick myself up a sandwich when I got distracted with what else but birds! This pelican seemed to do a lot of talking. Caught this egret coming in for a landing. The second day was foggy foggy foggy. While waiting for our boat trip to try to see the Whooping Cranes I took a couple of shots of boats. BoatsNFog and a BirdNBoatNFog .Needless to say we only saw 2 sets of Whoopers and there was a lot of fog between them and our lens. I did manage to cut some of the fog out of a few shots in post work but was not all that clear, might post one later just because they are awesome birds and huge!
Thanks for looking, more later ;).
My Best of 2008
This shot I entered into my Camera Clubs competition to represent the club in a Photographic Society of America competition. Out of 56 entries this shot was 1 of 3 chosen to represent the club. I was shocked and amazed that it did so well. It didn't go far in the PSA comp. but to just be able to represent our club was an honor. The club does really well in these competitions.
Thanks for the fun idea SG! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. :o)
