Temptation tastes like lettuce...
Chilly but sunny day outside of starbucks. Passed by this man and his dog enjoying a drink together. This girl DID not MOVE! She was great. Neither one was saying a word, but they knew exactly what each other was thinking.
I know...pet pics. But I can't resist
Usually, the dog is chasing the cat around. Or the cat is chasing the dog around. This is a rare moment of stillness. It is too bad about the focus, but there just wasn't enough light. Otherwise, I think it is a pretty cool photo.
Working 8-5 has its drawbacks this time of year, very little sun! To play with my new camera I have to use my best subject,
Have to end with a good
close up!
He's our special boy!
I love my pet. Here's a
Since I posted the theme last week my wife has been grexing about me missing one of the family members, so here he/she/it is. The name is Biscuits. It came as one of a pair that my wife named Biscuits & Gravy, but Biscuits ate gravy early on. She had another big fish named Panfish, but Biscuits ate him. She bought a few other fish since, yep, lunch. So hey, that's what fish do, but, I am hoping to make it a bit more interesting. I'm thinking of throwing in a Piranha or two, or maybe a small Beluga. That should make life a bit more interesting for Biscuits.
Although I haven't had photographs worth posting, I've felt guilty for not contributing. And since I've never played with one of the themes (at least publicly), I thought it was time. So here goes. Grew up in a small town (surprise) and got my degree in interior design at Texas Tech. Didn't work much in the field but still love to

It was just another fal day here in MIchigan...cloudy, cool and drizzle. I did get out and take some
Fall Color shots.
Acrons are everywhere this year....the squirrels will be happy this winter. There was so much
Color on the ground today....and in the
Trees. As I left I took the
Stairs to the upper part of the park. Tyler took these cat photos...of
Curious George and a big
Smile.
Not much of a story to tell. I grew up in the Pigeon Hills of South Central Pa, which I guess explains my love of the woods. Worked as a supervisor for a paper mfg. co. for 33 years, was downsized to retirement, started a second career as supervisor for a packing co. and will be at it for a bit more.
I started my education in Greensprings School, second row from the left, third boy from the back
Greenspring School (BTW, the school had no running water or indoor bathrooms) I always had the latest hair style

All in all, just a country kid.
I'm beginning work on a website for a local nonprofit that provides low-cost spaying and neutering services. I took some pix yesterday of friends and their pets. Here are some outtakes:
This is
my dog, Winter. She was born deaf, so we've taught her hand signals. She can also read our facial expressions and judge wether we're pleased with her or if she's 'in trouble'.
Her eyes are keen and sensitive to light, shadow, and motion. She's making up for her deafness by paying very close attention to the world around her. She
chases shadows or lights moving across the ground or walls. A spider crawling across the cieling will send her into a panic. She'll growl at a cobweb in the corner for hours.
In the thumbnail photo, she's just noticed something moving in the kitchen (probably just a shadow) and has lifted her head to study it.
Many people give up deaf animals because they think they are difficult and nervous animals. They're right, but all they need is a differnt approach in training and
lots of love.
