After placing my bet, I went to  President Marcos house for lunch. Marcos house Inside was nice, but after I took this shot, I was nicely told to put my camera back in its case for the rest of the visit. Marcos house in No I didn't see Imelda's thousand shoe's! but did tour the country. Visited a small church that had a unique organ. Made entirely of Bamboo. Then on to my hotel. The Manila Hotel that had been badly damaged by the war, but now (1966) was a fine place to stay.Manila hotel

Damn! It feels good to be back posting here! Looks like this place has evolved a lot and a gajillion pictures, members, assignment have gone by without me knowing all about it. I've just been buried in work lately and haven't even had the chance to take the time to upload new photos here, much less write up a post. Just want to share a few more shots from the Philippines. The last time I was there I went up in the mountains to check on a project. Along the way I shot a few pictures. a stream ,a Philippine work oxen,another oxen they are called Carabo,  burning wood for charcoal, a country kitchen, a boy just wanting his picture taken,another bring firewood ,and lastly this is not in the mountains but since sugar cane is the main income for  this island Sugar cane workers,
The Philippines is a poor country but I do love it dearly.

I want to thank everyone for the encouraging comments about my first uploaded picture of Tulips. By encouraging me, you convinced me to upload a few more shots. The tulips were from my yard here in Michigan. The red flower  is from my house in the Philippines.red Flower And the others are just a few shots from around my house.
