Challenge Entry

more trees

By brenda98 written 7/22/08 1:39 PM, published 7/22/08 1:40 PM

here's some more for the challenge. I took a short walk and found these  hiding trees . also some fallen trees .

magnolia buds are pretty, even if not fully blooming. the leaves always look plastic to me.

not for the challenge, but here's a  grapes update . they're looking better but not quite ripe yet.

A few from Lake Forest, IL

By LindasJon written 6/7/06 12:27 PM, published 6/7/06 12:27 PM
Just got back from a business trip to the Chicago area.  While there, I visited the community of Lake Forest which is right on the shores of Lake Michigan.  A very pretty place. These are my faves from the 50+ frames I shot.

Sunny Saturday

By Lidljo written 5/6/06 6:50 PM, published 5/6/06 6:50 PM

It started very cool this morning, but sunny.  I took a lot of pictures today, but the ones that I am showing you I took during the past two days.  First in honor of Tulip Time, but taken in the condo area, a Popup Linkpurple tulip bud.
The next one was also taken in our greens area at the condo.  It is a bushy plant, but I don't know what it is.

I saw this Popup Linktiny Pansy in my neighbors yard where nothing else was growing.  It must have grown up from seed from last year.
These blossoms are from the little tree in the square across the drive from our condo.  I have been taking pictures of it for weeks first as tiny pink buds, and then the leaves came out, then larger pink buds, and finally these lovely blossoms.

I took softball pictures today and also went to Frederick Meijer Gardens for the afternoon - lovely place to walk.  We bought a membership so I am sure you will see lots of pictures from there in the future.

Little Garden Friend

I tried to take some pictures in my garden before the weather got too cold.    For once they seemed to come out!

First, some had some beautiful Popup Linkberries on my hostas.  Then moved on the the now empty  Popup Linkbirdbath. Boy, those birds are greedy!  Then I took a picture of a little  Popup Linkfroggy in the garden..  But my favorite is this little  Popup Linkgnome peeking out from behind the leaves.  He's so cute!
