here's some more for the challenge. I took a short walk and found these hiding trees . also some fallen trees .
magnolia buds are pretty, even if not fully blooming. the leaves always look plastic to me.
not for the challenge, but here's a grapes update . they're looking better but not quite ripe yet.

We went to see some butterflies. It was early in the season for them, but I had a lot of fun figuring out how to take their pictures!
Just got back from a business trip to the Chicago area. While there, I visited the community of Lake Forest which is right on the shores of Lake Michigan. A very pretty place. These are my faves from the 50+ frames I shot.

This part of a shrimp plant. The part I'm showing is about 1 to 2 inches in length.I just liked the shape and color of the tiny leaf like stock..
Green isn't the only color in spring.
