I took my first trip to Chicago this Weekend and just my luck the temperature was in the nineties making it an almost unbearable day. It seemed that the only ones not concerned with the heat were the birds. I was inmensely grateful when my girlfriend took me to see Buckingham Fountain. We had seen the  water stream from all the way across the Marina and it was a great way to get refreshed standing under the stream of water carried out by the wind. The  water looked too refreshing to resist.

Violent storms came through thursday. I looked out as they passed and noticed a rainbow ending in my front yard!!!! I was excited. It was then I noticed I already had a pot of gold.

Well, our friends promised us a tour of Olympic National Park. It started out raining that day but as we neared the park the sun came out. As we neared the top of the mountain to Hurricane Ridge, luckily it started to Snow! Thus ruining any chance we would see the great 360 degree views. So I shot some  Huckleberries
So our day was a wash. But as we headed home of course the sun began to shine again and we did see the  End of a Rainbow

My friend, tracy and I went road-tripping yesterday...in search of fall pictures.  Tracy got her first camera about two years ago.  This is a new passion for her...which makes it even more fun for me.

A great day with an old friend and new friends.

Everyone - I've been lurking on the board here for some time and have enjoyed going through the photo journals. The different perspectives (creative and social) have helped me look through the viewfinder with a new attitude. So thanks, and please keep the feedback flowing (good and bad). Jay (thebigdummy) O.

Anyway, I took a trip out to Yellowstone recently and met some of the natives That's "Mr. Bison" to You. All I can say is thank you Sigma for making a really long zoom since I'm not a fast runner. It seems like I haven't posted here in ages. I have been working so much that I haven't had much time to photograph anything. I was able to take some time off recently to scout out the Big Island. I happened to be there when Tropical Depression Kenneth was passing through, which made it difficult to get many non rainy photographs.

I've been as stumped as some of you on this theme and I'M the one who came up with it!  Sad, huh?  I was able to come up with a few determination pics today; this kudzu is determined to take over it's entire surroundings. I am determined to get a good moon shot before I depart this earth, but I don't think I accomplished it with those shots.  I just wanted you to see what I had done so maybe y'all could help me out here....

We had a bad storm at home the other day and this was the end result.  And, here's one that's  typical of me.  Hope y'all enjoy!
