Time

Times from the past:
Popup LinkA stump with a hint of the future.
Popup LinkA tree showing a hint of of its former gloriousness.
Popup LinkPast rain (normally I don't like sun flares, but I think it adds a little something to this one.)

Times for the future:
Popup LinkA flower bed waiting for a future time
Popup LinkFuture something (was working on DOF, but got too much.)

I'm really enjoying the new camera, it does just great on Popup Linkflowers.

The Story About Lucky

By Penny written 5/17/06 7:22 PM, published 5/17/06 7:22 PM
I want to do some shots of my cousins dog.  My little cousin found Popup LinkLucky as a tiny puppy alone and starving.  I am usually a person that does not care for pitbulls.  But this dog is so great.  He is full of ambition and has a ton of Popup Linkcharacter.  As you can see he can get good  Popup Linkair when going after a stick that the boys throw.  His little sidekick is Sparky.  He is a totally different story. I was laughing so hard trying to get shots like Popup Linkthis that I missed him completely a couple times.  I want your help picking some of the best  Popup Linkshots I took today of him.  So I can print them out for my cousin.  Here are some of the others I took:  Popup LinkFinally Popup LinkI got the Popup Linkstick!   They say I look like Popup LinkPetey from Popup LinkThe Little Rascals. (If anyone out there would like to make him look like Petey please do and post it in the comments)
Last but not least...the boys told me Lucky and Sparky had another trick and I didn't believe them until I saw this Popup Linktrick.  Okay so I need your help.  Let me know what ones are your favorites.  Thanks!!

Penny was working hard making arrangements, waiting on customers and answering phones.  So I had to find something to do.  I found Popup Linkthis it was just my size.  So I drove around for a bit.  I felt like a Popup Linkfireman. I even found a Popup Linkfriend to hang out with for a while. When I went in the back where the girls work.  It was a little  Popup Linkcrazy. There were flowers  Popup Linkeverywhere!  But I did take time to  Popup Linkstop and smell the flowers.  I hope all the mothers out there had a Happy Mothers Day!

The Old Mill

This was shot in Collinsville, Connecticut.
I tried to capture its own reflection of age and time. I've been intriqued with this old mill for many years.

Standing Tall

By Kat written 5/14/06 11:17 AM, published 5/14/06 11:17 AM

This picture was taken in New Britain, Connecticut. It reflects the tree and the names of soldiers that died in war.  This reflection shot reminds me of the soldiers who will always stand tall in the hearts of us all.

Since I didn't have to take the kids to school on Thursday, I headed for the river to catch the sunrise before work.  Unfortunately, due to a terrible wreck in my way, I Popup Linkmissed the sunruse.  It was a Popup Linkbeautiful morning on the river though.  The Popup Linkreflections were great.  Even Popup Linkdowntown Knoxville looks good in the early light.  I took a ton of pics and haven't gone through all of them yet.  These are the first ones that Popup Linkcaught my eye.

Dang. You guys are starting to get on my nerves.

Here I am, desperately trying to catch up with the last three challenges and y'all start a fourth one while I'm not looking.

Well, Fine.

Let's see. The challenges are: Architecture, Reflections, Signs and now Strangers. I think I've gotten them covered this week:

Popup LinkThe Capitol at night and Popup LinkWashington Monument at Night cover the Reflections and Architecture categories, and I'll throw these in as proof I know how to take pictures during the day, too:

Popup LinkWashington Monument by Day, and Popup LinkUdvar-Hazy Center

For the Signs challenge, I offer this cheating entry:

Popup LinkReflections on a Memorial

and for a straight reflection I offer this:

Popup LinkReflecting on War.

Now, for the subject of strangers, I'm afraid I can only offer one stranger, and one person doing something strange:

Popup LinkMaking Memories

Popup LinkCurse of the Were-Rabbit.

On that last picture, I swear I've no connection to that girl, I don't care what her mother says!

Could I give up any more on titles?  Could we have a random title generator?

At least then people might be amused by what I put there!

Just Two shots I want to share right now and had time to post.
