Ok, I'll let this be the last festival post. And it's for all the Ladies who like their Knights in Shining Armor.
Have a great weekend everybody! And I hope you guys enjoyed my view of the Middle Tennessee Ren. Festival

For just a couple more posts. I figured since I have them uploaded I might as well show them.
Today we'll visit jugglar extraordinaire, Paolo Garbanzo! He's probably one of my favorite acts at the fair. He's funny and really nice. I talked to him outside the show and offered him all the shots I've taken this year and last. Made him a CD and the next day handed it to him. I hope he enjoys them.
Anyway, on a technical note. I know these are a bit dark. I HAVE NO PHOTOSHOP RIGHT NOW. So excuse that and enjoy (all descriptions are taken from his show). Thanks for looking and...
Happy Friday Everyone!

After the bellydancing Monday, I thought I'd show you a sexy rennaisance dance (or that's what Lady Ophelia called it when she asked the Queen if she'd like to partake in a dance).
I now present you Queen Elizabeth in some rennaisance dancing.
Thanks for looking. As always, comments are fully appreciated (just because they're fun you can still critique if you want or see fit).

Well, I thought I'd be refined today but instead you guys will have to settle with some swashbuckling pirates (this is all for you Bruce).
In fact these pirates are Swash and Buckle! They get into arguments easily, and in this case over Mr. Buckle's friend Mr. Fluffy, whom Swash said had been lost at sea for many a year. Angry at Swash's lies, they consult the Articles of Piracy to see whether or not this constitues a dual. Of course it does! They're pirates!
After much scuffling... there was an accident. OH NO!
They sent Mr. Fluffy to Davy Jones' Locker and vowed never to fight again.... for now ;-)
-------
And specifically for Mr. Quackers, the thumb (he was signed by Swash and Buckle and now rides in my Camera bag with me.)
Thanks for looking and have a great Tuesday everybody!

It's may and you wanna know what that means? The Middle Tennessee Rennaisance Festival is in town every weekend! Although I won't be going every weekend, I did go the weekend of the 10th. So you guys can look forward to lots of shots from there over the next 2 weeks.
Starting today with some ladies who didn't need to catch the wind, they made their own.
Through DANCING!
But not any kind of dancing.... Bellydancing!
These two ladies danced and then fought. Then, they danced some more!
Tomorrow, something a little more refined.
I hope you guys enjoy seeing the fair through my eyes. I have costumes and entertainers galore!
Last weekend I went to the Renaissance Festival, but I only got to see about half of it. When I got home and compared the quality of my candid pics to the ones where I was actually brave enough to talk to the people, there was a remarkable difference in quality. (Imagine that!!)So, with new found strength to battle my introversion, I went BACK to Ren Fest and approached lots and LOTS of people. (Okay, mostly just the cute ones, but that made it a bit easier, too.) I got a lot of good pics this time. I still made some stupid mistakes in some, but I was a bit nervous.
Bottom line is, thanks to you guys for making me get out of my comfort zone.
On the first shot, I was buying a Diet Coke from this girl and asked if I could take her picture. She said, "MEEE?!?!?" and her face LIT UP like I completely made her day. I would have thought she'd been asked all the time.

Ahhh, what better place to find strangers to take pics of for the bi-weekly challenge. Some of these strangers were stranger than others. I took a lot of candids, but it was also a great chance for this extreme introvert to get over the fear (okay, terror...) of approaching someone I don't know and asking to take their picture. And you know what? They all say "sure" and posed for me. Imagine that. I'm already planning to go back to practice some more. If you've never been to a Renaissance Festival, they are loads of fun.
Beautiful Stranger (A jewelry shop keeper)
Knight (Candid, but he was kinda busy...)
Pirates (No, they don't work there...)
Harem Girls (More beautiful guests)
Gone for a Sunday drive, we saw a Faire and decided to stop for the amusement.
