I worked night shift at the Portsmouth Naval Medical Center and each morning I stepped out the door to a view of Norfolk skyline across the water. Everyday there was something new to shoot there. Here are some early morning shots
More race photos. I tried using auto settings, some sports settings, and not using my flash. I am teaching myself the manual settings but am not sure what to use for action shots outside. The day started very overcast but was bright by the end. Add in shadows from the rowhouse stores around the square and there were even more shadows. Suggestions are appreciated. So are comments.

Took the kids fishing a couple of days and boy they just wouldn't cooperate. This was a tough shot because of all the shadows (and the fact that my subject is 8 and doesn't stand still)

It's very hard to take pictures on a trip when your a prisoner of someone else's time schudule and stopping to take a snapshot is not going to workout.They thought I was nuts to start off with when I was caught taking time...their time..to take a shot of trash on the side of the road.
