My Crazy Spaz Cat
Hi, all! Just figured its about time I posted a couple photos taken with my new Canon! These two photos document just how nuts my crazy Spaz cat is...he's a great model, when he cooperates. He's not nuts about my new camera...dunno why. ;) But every now and then I get a good shot or two.In the 2nd shot, I told him to say "Out" if he wanted me to open the bathroom door. He said it, to my delight, and I caught it! Enjoy. Oh, and c&c most welcome, as usual.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!! Be safe & enjoy tonight!!!
(PS) Today is my & my cat's birthday...he is 12 and I am officially 40 now! Mebbe we should switch...nah! I like 40!!! :)
Anyway, thanks for lookin'!!!
Spaz and Heidi Standoff
Good morning, all. The other day, the cats were in a standoff on the stairs when Heidi started hissing at me, and my Spaz came bulleting down the stairs to attack her for it, then stopped short. That's the first time my furry little love has ever defended me! My hero! Lol. Then, yesterday, it was on again, but this time (this happens alot, these days) I grabbed my camera to shoot it. I sat on the kitchen floor a couple feet from them both, and ended up with 171 photos, when it was all caterwauled and done. I finally started getting tired, really, after an hour or so, so I shooed Heidi away, into the other room, and went to see what I'd ended up with. I ended up with 37 photos out of that 171, and it was really, REALLY hard to narrow them down for this post. I don't want to overwhelm with photos, so I chose 4. Thank you for looking, and for commenting....and here they are.
Sir Spaz & New Sunglasses
The other day I captured my cat, Sir Spaz, in a typical mood. There is slight blur on top of his head, as he was in the act of looking up at me after I made a high-pitched kissy noise to get him to look up; if I had waited even a second later I would have missed the shot.
I also acquired a new pair of sunglasses a week ago, at a Queensryche concert, where sadly, I didn't really get too many good photos. I've been playing with the new sunglasses, trying to get a decent photo of me in them. I have 2 for your consideration. I put them on for my daughter the other day, and she immediately said, "Dah-ling," summing it up perfectly, lol. Thanks, for looking, & for any comments.
Hot Tub Spaz
Hi, all. Recently my cat has developed a habit of drinking water from the tap in the bathroom sink. With the heat indexes in the 110's, I don't blame him. Every time he did it, though, I never had my camera on hand. So, this morning I grab the camera, trudge the stairs to the oven-like 2nd floor, head into the bathroom, and there's Spaz, snoozin' in the bathtub again-where he's been spending most his time of late. I turn on the water in the sink and coax him outta the tub. He slowly rubs on my legs for a minute, ignoring my repeated tries to get him up on the sink, and finally-wouldn't you just know it-jumps back into the tub and lays right back down.
Hmph. So, I start shooting him in the tub. At first he wouldn't even raise his head, but I kept making strange noises at him until he did finally look up at me, giving me his priceless, "You have GOT to be kidding me" look, among with a couple others. Sometimes cats don't need words to tell you what's on their minds.
And I know both me and my cat will be very happy when fall gets here.
Stay hydrated & cool, people, and don't forget to keep your pets hydrated and cool, too. And please, DON'T take em with you on car rides and leave em in the car, even for just a minute...because even that one minute is one minute too long. Thanks, C&C welcome, and have a great day, everyone!!
7-28-2010 Spaz on Stairs
Hiii. Yesterday, my cat actually ventured out of the bedroom onto the landing at the top of the stairs. This is a big deal for him, as he is totally scared of our other cat, Heidi, who relentlessly beats him up every chance she gets. That's why he lives upstairs, because of Heidi, and usually he is happy to stay up there. When I saw him on the landing yesterday, I thought, document it, and got my camera. These aren't the best shots in terms of focus, and I know it...I didn't have anything to brace myself on to steady my hands/arms...but these are the best i got out of what I shot. To my amazement, Spaz actually came down a whole step, even. That's progress for him. I think while I was shooting, he was on the lookout for Heidi, who actually didn't appear, for once...not that Spaz ever really relaxed, lol. But hey, progress, not perfection. I'm proud of him.
This morning I went upstairs with camera in hand~lately my cat, Spaz, has been in awfully cute places and positions when I go upstairs~and I was hoping to catch him in one. Welp, he wasn't in an awfully cute position when I got up there, but he was very talkative this morning. He kept meowing at me while he walked back and forth about the room. Out of 50 photos, I got 5 I felt comfortable posting. I know the extreme close up of him isn't very focused, but I wanted to post this one out of good humor and to show my cat's funny, neverending curiosity more than for critique. I'm still stuck on dialup until at least Tuesday (argh and ugh) so I had to really shrink the photos just to upload them; sorry if they appear really small. C&c welcome, and thanks for looking...hope everyone has a great weekend!
March Spazzy 4
The day I got those 2 good shots of Heidi, I went upstairs and tried to shoot Spaz, my own cat. He wouldn't cooperate, either~I laid down on the floor to take the pictures, and he kept wanting to be curious and love on me, lol. Still, I ended up with 3 okay pictures. Here they are.
This morning I took a few pictures in accordance with the challenge. I ended up with 3 that I am comfortable posting. Angel is my 4 inch tall corn husk angel that watches over my plants in the kitchen. (Hey, it works.) That's "A" for angel. Ryche is my signed Queensryche soundcheck pass and ticket stub (my favorite band) from the concert my best friend and I attended on Halloween in St. Louis. That's "Y" for yellow and "U" for unknown.(Unfortunately most people don't know the band is still together.) Spaz oval is just that; my cat Spaz relaxing, curled up in a perfect oval. That's "O" for orange. And that's it for now. C&C welcome, and thanks for looking. Thanks.
