When the spring comes, the Mountain Laurel blooms. In the beginning, it is just a batch of Pink Nubs, but soon those nubs become delicate Flowers. And, at last the woods are bathed in Pink .

I'm not as productive as so many of you...so my posts don't seem to have a common 'theme'.  Here's my mix:

We had another lovely day in the 60's today.
Yesterday when I was at my folks I took some pictures of the tree outside of their window.  I am not sure what kind of tree it is, so if someone recognizes it, please let me know.

I have been watching the tiny buds coming out on this tree in front of my condos.  I don't know them either, but I know it is a small ornamental tree.

Mom had to show me that her strawberries were blooming already.

We are having WARM weather this weekend, YIPEEEEEEE!!!!!
I have tried to grow a lenten rose in several gardens at all the houses I have lived in without success. I popped one in at Wildmans last year and here she is . Might not look like much but I'm THRILLED!!!
Leslie helped plant these years ago this is the only
clump that survived .
The peonies  are pushing up.
This flowering magnolia is blooming in Phil and Pam's yard.
I forgot about this Lilac until the ground was frozen, but I had a pile of compost left over so in it went for the winter and it's rewarding me with flowers.
This is in my neighbor Kitty's yard, she has
spring bulbs next to the driveway. Thanks Kitty!
The weeping  cherry opened this afternoon.

We visited our nation's capital last weekend, during the peak weekend for viewing (and photographing) the cherry blossoms.  I took 150 photos - these were some of the best.

Spring is finally starting to arrive in this neck of the woods. small flowers Here are some hints of it I saw as I walked the other day.new leaves tiny flowers thebluebells are almost ready to bloom.

I took a walk around campus yesterday after a rain and found these pretty  white azaleas and these pink azaleas.  
Today I went out to lunch and found this dogwood and this one looked like it was sunbathing.  It seems like flowers is all I've taken pictures of.

Sorry, but I love spring, my yard, my camera and forcing others to look at pictures.

The only tulips that bloomed for me this year were yellow.. This one must have been close to one of the red bulbs.

The sky was so  blue yesterday that the blossoms on the  Cherry tree really
stood out.

Blooms, blooms everywhere!  I thought I'd share what is blooming around my house.  

I love the pink of this tree bloom.  So pretty!

This tree bloom was found on a HUGE tree at Arlington.  It had masses of this bloom.

These are growing in my front yard.  Aren't they cute!

I don't know what this tree is but I think of it as a
sea of flowers.  I want it as my avitar but can't get the thing to upload in the right size.....(If anyone can help, PM me please)

While I love the blooms, my allergies are going crazy so I'm ready for the leaves to appear.

I was driving around the other day and stopped at McArthur Park and this sign was at the bottom of McArthur Museum.  Thought it was pretty neat never read it before.  Then I drove over to the Clinton Library still haven't made it inside.  Time to go home and when I got there I was greeted by  Yard Dog.  Living in the country we sometimes end up with others pets the ones someone don't want anymore.  He's not much to look at but he sure is sweet.  Then I went inside and was greeted by Sassy.  She thinks she rules the roost.  After I got home I took these pictures as well.

I was home (middle Georgia) for an extended weekend (Dentist appt - whee).  I had some time yesterday to roam the roads, and despite the fact it was below freezing a couple of times over the weekend, farmers were out plowing their fields and I finally had a sense that spring is here.
