Door County Sunset

By Roundabout written 8/19/06 7:50 PM, published 8/19/06 7:50 PM
My wife and I recently went on vacation to Door County Wisconsin.  It is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been, and we've been many places.  The sunsets there are the most beautiful I've ever seen.Popup LinkSunset These photos were taken at Sister Bay, exept for the lighting photo.Popup LinkLightning Shot It was taken one night near Gills Rock.  This is my first story here.  I hope you enjoy reading it and looking at my pictures.  I have certainly enjoyed looking at your pictures.  Thank You!

This Popup LinkSunset  is also taken at the reservoir near my home, it is about a mile from my house and during the summer it is great for a quick getaway.  We go to fish and relax.  Lots of water, birds, and bugs.

Saturday at Work

Weekends are a little more casual at the hospital I work at. I had time to play with the camera for a change. These
Popup Linktrees are outside of our office. I don't know if they're Cherry trees, or Bradford pears, but the Popup Linkbees like them. Being in Maintenance, I get to go where the rest of the folks don't, so I grabbed this Popup Linksunset shot from the roof. This last shot is from one of the many  Popup Linkmarker lights on the roof, to keep the planes away. Hope you like...as always, all gripes, groans, bit**es, and moans are welcomed!

Can I offer you.... a glass of wine and a nice place to sit and another Ho-Hum....

As Sunlight Departs

By MudMistress written 2/23/06 6:17 PM, published 2/23/06 6:17 PM
For weeks I've been waiting and watching for a vivid sunset... but saw lots of pastels.  I was getting a bit discouraged when this odd one (it may look familiar, it's another shot from my favorite point on my commute home) caught my eye... with the light beams pointing up, and the shadows pointing down... Popup Linkcool lines and about a quarter mile further down the road what it turned into encouraged me to get back out of the jeep and take another shot:  Popup Linkhot sphere.  And then >poof< it was gone.

One day I'm actually going to go shoot when I have more than 10 minutes free time. Tried to capture some sunset pics today. Not too sure about the first one, but there is something about it I like.

These are definately not the best sunsets I've seen posted on here.

I may have had only 10 - 15 minutes but I did get to see the Green Flash at sunset!

Hi All !

Well I had to drive a 100 miles yesterday to get my cast off. And on the way back home the sun started setting, at the same time the moon was comming up ! So I pulled the car over and took photots of both, all I had to do was turn around to get them. How Cool Is That !! Why I live here !Injoy Popup LinkMoon1 Popup LinkMoon2 Popup LinkSunset1 Popup LinkSunset2
