Had a day off and the weather was fine for a short trip to the park. Lots of fences here, not condusive to photography, but very pleasant and relaxing.

Well, we've been watching and waiting and finally our swans are buliding a new  nest!
She is sitting on it as well as adding twigs and other things she can reach from her throne!
These are not swan but goose feet.
Took this a few weeks back and just never posted IT.
Today when we were walking by the river that helps feed the pond I noticed some tracks and discovered that the freash water clams were making them .
These are two shot of the same place early spring  and now.
Things are looking up!

I think the swans must be nesting at the pond; anytime we go down there now, we get met by this fella who acts like he'd flog you in a heartbeat!

My buddy came back yesterday!  This shot was taken today nearing dusk.  Plus, it's been raining all day and it was just dreary out.  I call him Woo-Hoo!  I'm still not where I want to be with shots of him, but, hopefully with practice, I'll get there!  (I gotta get a monopod; that lens is heavy!)

My father would be amazed at the technology today if he was still around. He was an avid photographer and every time he upgraded I received his old weapon. Can't forget the days he let me play with his color enlarger. He was a fan of the brand I just bought. Here's lookin at you Dad!

Wildman's new camera came today. I'll let him give you all the details. We started charging the battery while we ate dinner. Finally charged and still light out so we raced over to the Boardwalk to see if anything was stirring. It was COLD. The boardwalk was also partially under water so I couldn't get across to where the swans were. Wildman however had on his hiking boots and was through the water and shooting MY SWAN. The one I've been Stalking for weeks now!When he finally can back over he offered me the new machine. It is exceptional!!!

Time to go. I had one more hope of a great swan picture. There is another very nearby pond and we drove by there to find a Swan near shore waiting for me and the new camera! head on  from the side    closer  shy?

I went with my daughter on a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch Farm. Kinda like a petting zoo with pick your own pumpkins. Here's a few shots I took while on a tour of the place.
