Sean (my 6 yr. old) was yelling out the car window, "Mom, what the heck are you doin'?".
I couldn't resist adding this photo. We pulled off the interstate at the exit for Bristol. I'm trying to read mapquest directions and not run myself off the road at the same time when I hear Sean say, "Mom! Look! It's the Statue of Liberty!".
To which I reply, "That's in New York. Now, shush, Mommy's trying to drive." (Somehow silence is supposed to help me not be lost?)
Sean: (Indignent) "Mooooooom. It IS the Statue of Liberty!".
Me: "No it's not! THAT Statue is located in ........
Oh...."
After a weekend away of the Internet, here are finally the shots of the project Syncro:
After an incident with my backpack being stolen and some
raining, I finally got out the house to try making the picture...
Around six o'clock I was around a small villa hidden in the middle of Paris called
petite Alsace. Finally, at the moment of the picture i was just crossing the
door of the villa, trying not to call the atention of the warden.
Finally, after not having such a great picture as I expected and being robed (all in the same weekend), I played with some
candles, some
zooming and finally, my
girfriend.
By the way, great shots for the Syncro project! Thanks again tomi for the idea...
The This again is that 50mm Canon lens at F11. I did some playing with it the other day and I think it is actually sharper than my high dollar 28-135mm IS lens.
I was on a golf course, officiating the Idaho Golf Association Men's State Fourball Championship. Driving home tonight I was listening to the BBC. At 10:00pm Idaho time, the radio announcer said, "It is 4:00 GMT." Tomitake's table said 5:00GMT = 10:00MDT, so now I'm confused. Anyway, I took a picture.
On the run all day. Guess
I'd been out in the pouring rain all morning, and had to clean up before heading over to
It's difficult to say which one of our walks is the favorite, they change constantly and offer their own special something. Today we chose the Beaver Pond Trail with a connector to Heron Pond to be part of the synchronicity shoot.
I kept going down the trail making it to Heron Pond in all its rainy beauty.

AP News Bulletin: At exactly 5:00 PM GMT, (12noon EST) photographers around the world clicked their shutters in the first ever syn chronic photographic statement. Tomitake, located in Japan, of Photographica.com, a photographic Internet community where photos are shared, had proposed the idea and all members of the community had joyously embraced it. Photographs were shot at exactly 5:00 PM GMT by over one hundred people as far away as Singapore and Australia. Our Brooklyn correspondent questioned Pablo Jonsey (French pronunciation as in Joansay) located in Little Odessa and he stated "The cable guy came at 11 and stayed till 11:50, giving me 10 minutes to synchronization. He kept asked me what my favorite channels were. I realized I might be in the elevator at 12, so I stepped out on to my balcony. When I pressed the camera shutter at exactly 12 noon, with the church bells pealing, in sync with all my cousins located throughout the world, the hairs stood up on my forearm."Tomitake plans to repeat this event in the near future. When pressed to congratulate Tomitake, Pablo Jonsey uttered a Japanese "thank you" that sounded a little like Hadeki Matsui.

My plan was to go to the mountains this morning and be there at noon.....seems as though a lot of my plans do not pan out. Yesterday afternoon took some pictures of the sky/clouds and when I looked at them later, could see more dust spots. So Instead of the pleasure trip had to go to K-town, the only place close that has a camera shop. They were not able to help me, but while there had a few of my pictures printed so had time to kill...The camera shop is in a mall and I knew I would still be there at noon.....just sat down on one of the benches inside of mall and was going to take a picture of people walking by, then looked up and saw this shadow--so, no people shot. This
I was surprised that I remember to take the shot at the specific time. We were at my sisters college graduation and I thought that it would be nice to take a
Trying to get ready for vacation, but this exhibition of Natural Light caught my eye, and I couldn't resist.
Saturday at 12 PM eastern daylight time I was at a luncheon for my Ladies of Grace group (Red Hat Ladies). It was our first anniversary. We were eating at an old church that has been made into a restaurant and is always decorated for Christmas. You will see a purplish red silk rose for the group and some red and purple balloons. Also have a question about what kind of flowers these are - they grow on a low bush type plant. They are planted around the standing stone at my school and several of the people have wondered what they are.

I was out in the Huron National Forest. Rain was falling and I was photographing

Springtime in Woods.
Well this got me up and away from the house this morning. I was hoping to capture a shot of our local eagles that nest but they move fast! So at 9am westcoast time I was here
There was a county wide "Rapid Water Rescue" practice this morning. The weather was terrible, i.e., cloudy, drizzly, wet, etc. The same is being predicted for the next week or so.Anyway, while at the practice I had casually mentioned that I had to take a picture at exactly 11:00 CDT. That was a mistake, as I kept hearing this same voice over and over saying, "Can I be in the picture? Please, please, oh please. Can I, can I, huh, can I? Pretty please?"
Well, being the kind sort that I am, I finally gave in and said, "Okay, I guess so."
So, here it is.
Synchronicity of Photographica
Was it just me, or was there a distinct drop of availabe light as I snapped the shutter. Almost as if light all over the world was being sucked up at that very instant.
