That is right, if you subscribe for a year, you'll get a brown short sleeve t-shirt for free!  The catch?  The quantity of shirts is limited so you better hurry.

  • 2 3 Extra Large

Once you subscribe, send me a PM and I'll give you a coupon code that you can use at the shop (http://shop.mozimedia.com) to get your free shirt.

I make it hard...

By coryking written 4/19/06 12:15 PM, published 4/19/06 12:15 PM
...To give me money. Several generous souls have reported having issues subscribing. If you tried, and got a nasty "Internal Server Error", I've since fixed the issue. Try, try again!

And yes, I am folding and packing t-shirts too :-) This will be the last time I have to do batches like this as I am now keeping a inventory of shirts on hand. Your next (or first) order will be shipped out in a few days, not several weeks as before.

Have fun!

t-shirt update & planned downtime

By coryking written 4/15/06 1:14 PM, published 4/15/06 1:14 PM

T-shirts
Good news! The long wait is over!  The t-shirts have arrived!

I'm gonna give an estimated ship date of Tuesday.  I'll keep y'all posted.  Sorry about the delay for all this.  The really good news is I ordered enough this time around to keep an inventory.  Your next order will probably ship within one or two days rather than 3-4 weeks.

Downtime for upgrades
After nearly four years in operation, I'm gonna ditch the peice of crap database that is mysql and migrate Photographica and artClick to Postgresql. This is going to be a substaintial migration and will probably bring the site down for an entire day. Depending on various factors, I might do it tommorow or monday. I will give you an advanced sorry, but in the end it will give me the right tool to make this website a much better, more reliable place.

Where is my t-shirt!!??

By coryking written 4/12/06 11:28 AM, published 4/12/06 11:28 AM

Your guess is as good as mine.  The order was botched so there was a two week delay in getting them scheduled for printing.  It's been a month and I'm getting antsy.

I'll keep you guys posted.  The minute I get those in my hands, I am shipping them out.

Sorry about this!!!

Hello World

Bleh.  I'm beat.  I've been doing the nasty kind of coding that puts a strain on your eyes and back.  I can't see very straight right now, nor can I type very well.  Excuse the typos.

I've got a couple things in the works:

  1. I've been working on letting you terminate your own account in a maner that suits your taste.  Since I really, really, really don't like deleting images, stories and comments, I'm working on letting you either delete them, or just disown them so they will show up as a product of our friend "Anonymous Hero".
  2. As a byproduct, I think I can finally allow limited deleting of individual images and stories without pestering us editor / admin types.
This deletion stuff sounds simple on the surface, but it is actually a heck of a lot more complex then you'd realize.  Those images, stories and comments get linked to all numbers of things like tags, sales functions, other stories, etc.  Everything needs to be accounted for or all hell breaks loose.  Some things cannot be deleted at all.  For example, if you put an image up for sale we can't delete it or disown it, ever.  The best we can do is hide it.

What about tshirts?

Well, the order got botched and didn't seem to get scheduled by the printers.  They now have the order scheduled and hopefully I can get them out soon.

Oh yeah, and I'm gonna be out of commission from this friday until next sometime next week.  I doubt I'll be of much use tommorow either.

Just a heads up for those waiting.  The order was placed on Friday March 10.  They should be due any time this week.  From then on I will constantly stock all the brown shirts so you don't have to wait a million years to get your order filled.

Get yours now!

Last Call for T-Shirts

Today is the last day for black shirts of any kind and hoodies.

T-Shirts!

By coryking written 3/6/06 11:25 AM, published 3/6/06 11:25 AM

You've seen them in action, now you can get yours starting at a mere 15 dollars. Yup, for less then the price of a DVD, say, you can get the most comfortable (and hip looking) t-shirt on the planet.

We are planning on placing another round of orders on Thursday, March 9th.

After looking at the results, we've decided to discontinue all black fabric.  Quite frankly, we think the brown looks much nicer with the logo.  However, if you really want black you can place your order now and I will send it in with the next batch of t-shirts.  We will also not stock the hoodies until the end of summer (who wants a hoodie in spring / summer?)  So:

This is your last chance to get a hoodie, or black!.  Put your order in before Thursday, March 9th 2006 if you really want one!

Operators are standing by, Order Now!

But seriously guys, these are the most comfortable tshirts I've ever worn.  American Apparel rocks!

Update [2006-3-3 20:9:55 by coryking]: If you are a subscriber, you get 20% off on your purchases. See your magical forum on the right for more information. If you are one of the several people who ordered after this and in fact are a subscriber, PM me and we'll resolve it

If you want to get in on the next round, go ahead and start ordering. The screenprinters have a minimum order size of 24, once we hit that number, I'll place in another batch. The turn around on these should be much quicker then the last.

Well, the tshirt guys called on friday and said they just started and hoped to be done by the end of the day.  No dice.  We are SOOOOOOO close to getting them in now.  I'll have them on monday (tuesday if they aren't open monday).

I'll keep ya'll posted.

Tshirts Update

By coryking written 2/1/06 11:24 AM, published 2/1/06 11:24 AM

I placed the order on monday.  The screen printers are very backlogged (which is a good thing cause they are backlogged for a reason, they are good!).

Should get the t-shirts in in about two weeks.  I've been told they overestimate their turnaround though.

I'll keep ya'll posted.  I'm as excited as you.

T-Shirts! Last Call!

By coryking written 1/27/06 1:56 PM, published 1/27/06 1:56 PM

Last call for t-shirts before the first batch gets printed!  I'm going to send out a batch to be printed on Friday, Jan 27th.

This will be your last call to get an order in for that first round!

[editor's note, by coryking] Unfortunatly, it doesn't look like I'll get these off to press until monday. You have a weekend :-)

T-Shirts. Get your t-shirts!

By coryking written 1/19/06 2:39 PM, published 1/19/06 2:39 PM
Finally.  At long last.  T-Shirts.

http://shop.mozimedia.com/

The store is not the prettiest in the world, nor is it the easiest to use.  For that, I apologize.  You get what you pay for, and in this case, the software was free.

There are two things:

The first round of orders will go out early February
This initial round will be pre-order.  We will take your order and your money once you place the order. We will use the cash to purchase the first batch of T-Shirts and pay the designer.  You should expect your order to be mailed sometime on the second week of February (6th -> 10th).

The pictures aren't the greatest
We dont have the real, physical t-shirts, so what you see is a Photoshop job.  We took the models from the American Apparel website and plastered on our text.  Sometimes the colors had to be changed.  Once we get these shipped, I'd very much like for you all to post/submit photos of you wearing this fine gear.  We'd use for the shop!

Thanks a ton for all your support and the wonderful tagline!

[editor's note, by coryking] Bumped. I'm gonna move this to the left soon enough.
