Don't forget to look around

If your fiddling with your camera, studying one scene too long without looking around much, dozing off, or your hiking up a hill a little to quietly, this could happen...

You turn around and there's a Bison (or some other wild animal) right behind you and not to happy about you being there.  I promise your going to surprise yourself in how fast you can really move or what you consider climbable.  I did, lucky for me there was a car with enough clearance for me to slide under.  He charged and grunted and hooved at the ground. Mad that I decided to share it with him.  This guy definetly wanted nothing to do with having his photograph taken.  Well I had my digital camera with me and figured that as long as I wasn't going anywhere and he couldn't get to me I might as well take some pictures.  So this is what I ended up with.

Lesson learned always keep a watchful eye!

Well I was inspired by Paulamouse, (I'm always inspired by you Paul especially the love you have for Cindy) with his star photos and the followup by peektar.

Now these two shots are not great artistically but were a fun excersize I tried back in 2001 in a trip to Zion and Yellowstone NP. They were both shot around Midnight with a near to full moon. If I remember correctly they were shot with Fuji Film ASA 400 and stopped down a bit but well over a minute exposures. I scanned the Negatives with a Dimage' Scanner.
Little grainy, little out of focus but ahh just throwing *#@% against the wall.

The streaks you see are Stars
