    I'm 23 and I'm a biology student at The University of Texas; about to be headed to grad school to get my PhD in plant biology.  

    As far as my photography is concerned, I got my first "camera" when I was six, it was hot pink(!) and it took some really odd film that I haven't seen in years. I'm not really sure when I became serious about my photography, I think I was about 11 or 12. Now, I just want to continue to improve my technique and composition (I greatly appreciate critiques!) and to be the best photographer I can, unfortunately I don't get the opportunity to shoot and experiment as often as I like (like many others I'm sure); school is a bit of a time-suck! :)

  • Artist's Statement

    For me, photography is a release. I get to preserve a moment in time forever, a moment that will never happen again. It's about changing my perspective and revealing the hidden secrets of  what many consider to be the "average" and "mundane."
